“ I went to Bernies soul food kitchen, no exaggeration, every single day for 3 weeks straight just to try everything on the menu. This place is solid. Here is my honest review. The ambiance and decor is not fantastic, a little dated and definitely has room for improvement but the food.....the food is AMAZING. JESUS CHRIST my taste buds were screaming for more with every bite, the spice was on point and the portions are nice. The people working there are friendly and the service is great. Its absolutely worth every penny for a meal this good. Arguably one of the best spots to grab grub in the whole city. My only complaint is that theyre closed on Mondays otherwise Id eat here 7 days a week. ”

I ordered the falling off the bone delicious Ox Tailsgreens yamsyesyes, the perfectly fried pork cops rice gravy cabbage, the pork tips cooked to perfection you need no teeth to eat this meat! mash potatesgreen beans and the shrimp plate seasoned well but shrimp were tough however, the sides were delicious some meals come with corn bread others with bread. Ask the cashier when ordering.. Be patient the food is worth the wait.. only issue greens were cooked a little more than I prefer but they were still delicious. Stop in for a real treat in Culver City ”
“ I got the 3 fried wings meal with 2 sides for only 12 tax! The wings are HUGE and melt in your mouth. So much food. And theyre still so good when reheated. I got the yams that were sweet and still a little chunky which I prefer over completely pureed. And the mac n cheese... I feel like whenever I order mac n cheese from restaurants I have high expectations only to be disappointed. But Bernies mac n cheese has SO MUCH cheese... every bite was creamy with that chewysalty texture from the cheese. So gooooood. No lie, I cant remember tasting a better mac n cheese in my life. Everyone needs to try it... be sure to get an extra side of mac n cheese! ”
